Sunday 8th September 2024 (10am – 4pm)  – Aylesford Priory, ME20 7BX

Although (at the time of writing) this event is still quite a few weeks away, we thought we’d advertise it now in case you’re planning ahead for late summer and are looking for days out in Kent.

The Kent Classic Car Show will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 10am 4pm at Aylesford Priory, Kent (ME20 7BX) and is a great opportunity for classic car enthusiasts to showcase and admire a variety of classic cars. Typically, the KCCS features over 500 classic vehicles, including original and restored cars, along with a large “autojumble” (a jumble sale for petrolheads) where attendees can find old parts and memorabilia.

Where?

Aylesford Priory in Kent

Aylesford Priory is the picturesque setting for the Kent Classic Car Show and is a stunning, historic site that enhances the charm of the event. Nestled in the picturesque Kent countryside, the Priory dates back to the 13th century and is steeped in history and spiritual significance.

The grounds are beautifully maintained, featuring lush gardens, serene walkways, and ancient architecture that offer a tranquil and picturesque backdrop for the show. Visitors can enjoy the scenic beauty of the River Medway, which flows gently alongside the Priory, adding to the idyllic atmosphere. The combination of classic cars and the historic, peaceful surroundings makes for a truly memorable experience

How much does it cost?

This is a day out that won’t break the bank and it’s perfect if you’re a family that’s looking for an inexpensive way to enjoy the weekend. Entrance is a mere £5 for adults and FREE for anyone under sixteen. Important! – Make sure you bring cash for the entrance fee to the field as this is all that will be accepted and there isn’t a card machine facility at the Priory.

Opening times

Members of the public can gain entrance from 10am to 4pm on the day.

Food and drink

Like all events of this nature, you’ll be able to choose from a wide range of food and drink stands that’ll be dotted around the show. There’s also a cafe and restaurant on site too. If you can, try and bring cash if you’re buying from small vendors so that they can avoid hefty credit/debit card fees.

Parking

Technically, parking is free but the Priory does ask for a donation so we’ll leave that for you to decide on arrival.

Toilets / disabled access

As Aylesford Priory is a large venue hosting many events throughout the year, toilets with disabled access are available. There’s also disabled parking close to the show field with fairly easy access by foot once you’ve parked up.

Getting there and other info

The nearby roads normally get congested on the day so allow plenty of time to get there. The organisers also recommend getting there via Eccles as this route is easier and more suitable for M20 travellers. Also, dogs aren’t generally allowed but exceptions can be made if your dog is well behaved and on a lead at all times.
